We completed a stylish project for a suburban private house near Uman. Smart Mebel developed the design and manufactured furniture for the kitchen, living room, kids’ rooms, walk-in closets, and laundry room.
Kitchen & Living Room
The main feature of the house is the kitchen, smoothly flowing into the living room. The designer’s idea was to separate the spaces with a bar counter, which serves as a visual partition. The main colors are yellow-beige with contrasting gray inserts. The primary material is San Remo Sand Oak chipboard, with a pleasant color and texture. One wall is dedicated entirely to kitchen cabinets for food and dish storage, also hiding the fridge and freezer. A bold detail is the black full-length handles. We also built niches for a coffee machine, microwave, and oven.
The main working area is positioned along the window to ensure maximum natural light. The countertop was aligned with the windowsill. The lower tier of cabinets was made from Opelgrau chipboard, while the centerpiece of the kitchen is a bar counter for three seats, which visually divides the kitchen and living zones.
Zoning & Living Area
To separate the hallway from the living room, we installed wooden slat partitions (oak). In the living room, we created a statement dining table in wenge oak measuring 2000×900 mm, comfortably seating 6 people. The highlight is the metal leg of an unusual broken shape. Additionally, we made a TV stand in the same San Remo Sand Oak chipboard with black accents to match the kitchen.
Walk-in Closets
On the first floor, a walk-in closet was divided into 3 zones: one for children’s clothes, one for the husband’s, and one for the wife’s. Each section has full-height wardrobes and shoe racks set at an angle for convenience. The closet is made of white chipboard. A special feature is a jewelry cabinet with a glass top — both stylish and practical.
Another walk-in closet was arranged on the second floor, along with two kids’ rooms.
Laundry Room
We made a functional unit with spaces for a washing machine, dryer, shelves for clothes, detergents, an ironing board, and an iron.
Kids’ Rooms
For the 10-year-old child, the room was furnished with white chipboard and San Remo Sand Oak. It includes a double bed, a large wall-to-wall wardrobe with shelves and drawers, and a spacious desk by the window. To the right of the window, a cabinet with shelves for books and toys was installed.
For the younger child, the room was designed mainly in white, but with a bright pink open shelf for books and toys as a focal point. The baby crib will later be replaced by a full-size bed.
